About JeanJoel Spatafora

I’m JeanJoel Spatafora — a multidisciplinary artist shaped by movement, memory, and a deep-rooted curiosity. My creative practice spans digital art, ceramics, jewelry, sketches, music, photography, and writing. Each piece is a fragment of lived experience — layered, textured, and emotionally honest.

I was born in Guadeloupe to a Calabrian Italian father and a Creole mother born in Saigon. Growing up, I moved often — across continents and cultures — living in places like Paris, Cayenne, Rome, Ciro Marina, Bolivia, Roxbury, and Orlando. I’ve picked up languages, dropped roots, and gathered impressions from travels through Thailand, India, Germany, the UK, The Netherlands, Peru, Costa Rica, Saint Martin, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, and across the U.S. These journeys inform not only my work, but also how I see — and question — the world.

I hold a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Fontbonne University. I’m introspective by nature and draw strength from solitude, silence, and sincerity. I abhor superficiality and seek depth in both expression and connection.

This site is a window into my creative life — a space where visuals, sound, and words meet. Thank you for being here. I hope something resonates with you.
